Hi, I’m Franceska Petrosino—an author, illustrator, and the creator behind Fun with Franki! With a background in design and a passion for early literacy, I create decodable phonics books and activities that make learning to read both joyful and effective.
My goal has always been simple: to respect the science of reading while making resources that spark curiosity, confidence, and a love of books in young learners. Every illustration, story, and activity is carefully designed to support children as they grow into strong, lifelong readers.
I also love connecting with parents, teachers, and fellow creators. If you have a resource idea or something you’d love for me to design, please reach out! If it helps you, it might help others too—and I’d be thrilled to create and share it with the whole community.
My Story
I’ve always loved both art and learning. With a design background, I knew I wanted to create something meaningful that combined creativity with impact. When I learned more about phonics and the science of reading, I realized how powerful well-designed resources could be in helping children succeed.
That’s when Fun with Franki was born. What started as one project has grown into a full collection of decodable books and learning materials designed to support kids, teachers, and families.
Every time I see a child light up with confidence as they read one of my books, I’m reminded why I do this—and I can’t wait to keep creating more resources that make reading a joyful journey for everyone.
